Infinite Power
Sculpture, 2011
Description
I created this “imaginary device” from materials entirely scavenged from the dump during my residency at Recology San Francisco. It acts as a modern reinterpretation of the perpetual motion machine, which generates excess energy and thus violates the First Law of Thermodynamics. Faced with a seemingly insolvable crisis of natural resources, this device proposes an impossible solution to our energy needs for the year 2049.
